The Garga-samhita Verse 1.5.27, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 5 (The Lord’s Appearance) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

शाल्यश् चैव दिवोदासो
धृतराष्ट्रो भगो रविः
पाण्डुः पुषा सतां श्रेष्ठो
धर्मो राजा युधिष्ठिरः

śālyaś caiva divodāso
dhṛtarāṣṭro bhago raviḥ
pāṇḍuḥ puṣā satāṃ śreṣṭho
dharmo rājā yudhiṣṭhiraḥ

śālyaḥ—Śālya; ca—certainly; eva—indeed; divodāsaḥDivodāsa;

English translation of verse 1.5.27:

dhṛtarāṣṭraḥDhṛtarāṣṭra; bhagaḥBhaga; raviḥRavi; pāṇḍuḥPāṇḍu; puṣā

Puṣā; satām—of the devotees; śreṣṭhaḥ—the best; dharmaḥDharma; rājāking;

yudhiṣṭhiraḥYudhiṣṭhira.

Divodāsa will decsend as Śālya, Bhaga as Dhṛtarāṣṭra, Puṣā as Pāṇḍu, and King Dharma, the best of the devotees, as Yudhiṣṭhira.
