This bronze sculpture shows an image of Durga, from the 17th century A.D.—Durga as a consort of Shiva is very popular in Nepal and has various forms of iconographic features. This image is standing in alidha-asana pose on a simple dais holding her usual attributes in each hand.

Durga can also be spelled as Durgā (दुर्गा).
