Ubhayakarmaja (उभयकर्मज, “bilateral”) refers to a type of saṃyoga (lit. ‘contact’), a relation between prakṛti and puruṣa.—The contact produced by the activity of both of the relata of a relation of contact is called ubhayakarmaja-saṃyoga (bilateral contact). For example, the relation of contact produced by the activity of two rams is called ubhayakarmaja-saṃyoga.
