grub (གྲུབ) refers to “accomplishments” according to the Rudrakalpamahāśmaśāna by Aśvaghoṣa (quoting from the Mkha’ ’gro rgya mtsho).—Accordingly, “The hero stated that one who observes the pledge fulfills all accomplishments (dngos grub). If anyone does not observe the pledge, concerning all accomplishments, [his] performances will be obstructed by Māra. Therefore, one should perform the whole pledge with many efforts”.
