Pancaratra (worship of Nārāyaṇa)
Source: Wisdom Library: PāñcarātraĀdilakṣmī (आदिलक्ष्मी, “Primeval Lakṣmī”):—One of the eight primary forms of Lakṣmī (aṣṭhalakṣmī) representing an ancient form and incarnation of Lakṣmī as daughter of sage Bhṛgu. This form is also known as Mahālakṣmī. She has four arms, two of which carries a lotus and a white flag, while the remaining two arms show the Abhaya-mudra and the Varada-mudra.
Pancaratra (पाञ्चरात्र, pāñcarātra) represents a tradition of Hinduism where Narayana is revered and worshipped. Closeley related to Vaishnavism, the Pancaratra literature includes various Agamas and tantras incorporating many Vaishnava philosophies.
