This book recounts the History of the Andhra Pradesh Country from 1000 to 1500 A.D. including many dynasties (for example. the Reddis of Korukonda and the Eruva Chola of Rajahmundry)....

Part 16 - Upendra I (A.D. 1266)

The upper limit of the reign of Upendra I was A.D. 1266. Sewell gives the lower limit as A.D. 1225 which is unsupported by evidence. Upendra I had the titles—Karavala bhairava and Dharanivaraha which indicat e his valour in the battle fields against his enemies. His only record is from Simhachalam dated A.D. 1266 mentioning his parents Mangiraja and Lakshmidevi, and himself as Upendraraja. Thus Mallapa I was also known as Mangiraja. Upendra I was succeeded on the throne by Mallapadeva II, his son by Ganapambika.
