The Panchchedis ceased to exist as a power towards the close of the 13th Century A.D. and their territories with capital Kollipaka came to be included in the Kakatiya kingdom under Prataparudra. The Mahaparichchedis belonging to Vasishta gotra are mentioned as one fof the four important sects among Rachavaru—Andhra Kshatriyas even to this day.
