The feature ‘ekavakyata has been also added in the definition of the figure to separate it from upameyopama. Ruyyaka adds “bhedabhedatulyatve sadharmye” to separate the figure from vyatireka, rupaka etc. Vishvanatha includes “samyam vacyam” to separate the figure from the sphere of the figures like rupaka etc. where similarity is implied. He also adds the word “avaidharmye” to distinguish the figure from vyatireka....
