Summary: The Malaysian Journal of Medical Sciences (MJMS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published online at least six times a year. It covers all aspects of medical sciences and prioritizes high-quality research from low and middle-income countries to benefit their populations. Manuscripts from high-income countries must provide data useful to these regions. Established as Diagnosa in 1987 by Universiti Sains Malaysia, it was rebranded in 1994 as MJMS and has since gained international recognition. Published by Penerbit Universiti Sains Malaysia, MJMS adheres to high ethical standards and rigorous scientific methodology.
