Abstract: -

Virechana is one of the shodhana procedure which eliminates the vitiated humours through anal route. Assessment of virechana is done with the help of four assessment criteria mentioned in the classics. These criteria are vaigiki, maniki, antiki and laingiki. Antiki criteria is said to be the indicator for ending the procedure of virechana. Therefore, being an important criteria for assessment, in the present study total 26 patients of Psoriasis were treated with virechana with ichchabhedi rasa in common and they were assessed for the signs of antiki criteria.
