Ayurveda the ancient healing system of medicine aims at maintaining health and prevention of disease. Women are the real architectures of the society. At the same time, multiple roles as a daughter, wife, mother, homemaker, wage earner are physically and mentally menstruation and reproduction. Menstrual flow is the result of the complex interplay of many factors that arise from the hypothalamus, the pituitary gland, the ovary, the uterus and the outflow tract. Me strual cycle is a window into the general health and well being of a woman and not just a reproductive event.
