This page describes Introduction which is the first part of chapter III of the English translation of the Ananda-purushapundarika-bali-caritra, contained within the “Trishashti Shalaka Purusha Caritra”: a massive Jain narrative relgious text composed by Hemacandra in the 12th century. Ananda, Purushapundarika and Bali in jainism refers to some of the 63 illustrious beings or worthy persons.

Now the lives of the sixth Bala and the sixth Śārṅgin and of the Prativiṣṇu Bali in the congregation of Aranātha are narrated.
