This page describes Purushasimha’s death which is the twenty-fourth part of chapter V of the English translation of the Shri Dharmanatha-caritra, contained within the “Trishashti Shalaka Purusha Caritra”: a massive Jain narrative relgious text composed by Hemacandra in the 12th century. Shri Dharmanatha in jainism is one of the 63 illustrious beings or worthy persons.

Part 24: Puruṣasiṃha’s death

Puruṣasiṃha, when his life was completed in the course of time, went to the sixth hell because of various bloody deeds like a lion. His age was ten lacs of years—three hundred years as prince, twelve hundred and fifty years as governor, seventy years in the expedition of conquest, nine hundred and ninety-eight thousand, three hundred and eighty as king.
