Knowing that it was time for his emancipation, the Iyord went to Mt. Sammeta with seven thousand monks and began a fast. At the end of a month, on the fifth day of the bright half of Caitra, the moon being in Pauṣṇa, Lord Anantajit attained emancipation with the monks. The Indras came with the gods and held the nirvàṇa-festival of the Lord and his disciples. Anantajit lived for thirty lacs of years—seven and a half lacs as prince, fifteen lacs as king, and seven and a half lacs as mendicant. Nine sāgaropamas elapsed between the uirvāṇas of Vimala Svāmin and Atlanta Svāmin.
