Part 24: Death of Dvipṛṣṭha

The Vāsudeva Dvipṛṣṭha, who had large undertakings and possessions, fearless as a lion, negligent like a god, enjoying pleasures at will, completed his life and went to the sixth hell, Tamaḥprabhā, after death. The length of Dvipṛṣṭha’s life was as follows: a lac—less one-fourth—of years as prince, the same as governor, one hundred years in the expedition of conquest, seventy lacs, forty-nine thousand and nine hundred in the kingdom (as ardhacakrin).[1]
