Ajitanatha in jainism is the second Tirthankara (Jina) and one of the 63 illustrious beings or worthy persons.

Now, after the birth of the Arhat, in the same night Vaijayantī also bore a son easily, like the Gaṅgā a golden lotus. The attendants of both his wife and sister-in-law, Vijayā and Vaijayantī, gladdened Jitaśatru by the announcement of the birth of a son.
