शेषाणामन्तर्मुहूर्ता ॥ ८.२० ॥
śeṣāṇāmantarmuhūrtā || 8.20 ||
The minimum duration–jaghanya sthiti–of the remaining five kinds of karmas is up to one muhūrta. (20)
Hindi Anvayarth:
अन्वयार्थ: [शेषाणां] बाकी के अर्थात् ज्ञानावरण, दर्शनावरण, मोहनीय, अन्तराय और आयु-इन पाँच कर्मों की जघन्य स्थिति [अन्तर्मुहूर्ता] अन्तर्मुहूर्त की है।
Anvayartha: [sheshanam] baki ke arthat jnanavarana, darshanavarana, mohaniya, antaraya aura ayu-ina pamca karmom ki jaghanya sthiti [antarmuhurta] antarmuhurta ki hai |

The minimum duration of the remaining five types of karmas is now indicated.
The minimum duration–jaghanya sthiti–of the remaining five karmas is up to one muhūrta. The minimum duration of knowledge-covering (jñānāvaraṇa), perception-covering (darśanāvaraṇa), and obstructive (antarāya) karmas obtains in the case of the ascetic in the tenth stage of development–sūkṣmasāmparāya guṇasthāna. The minimum duration of the deluding (mohanīya) karma occurs in the case of the ascetic in the ninth stage–anivṛttibādarasāmparāya guṇasthāna. The minimum duration of the life-determining (āyuḥ) karma occurs in the case of animals and human beings who take birth with the life-span of numerable (saṃkhyāta) years.
