5.4. Temples at Harij (Mehsana)
There is a Jain temple at old site of Harij. It is in a dilapidated condition. The ruins of its Gudhamandapa, dome and ceiling and walls of the Garbhagriha are seen at the site. The exterior as well as interior of the extant mandapa has beautiful carving in the general style of caumukhaji temple at Abu. The Puratana Prabandha has given a description of a Parsvanatha temple at Harija. It is presumed that these ruins represent the said temple. 289 287.
