different days. Three deities in the Jagannatha temple are adorned with specific ceremonial costumes on various occasions. They are called as vesas of the Lord Jagannatha. There are 36 vesas of the deities out of which important 18 are viz. 1. Ganesa vesa (on the full moon day of Jyestha) -June, 2. Sunavesa (on the 11th day of the bright fortnight of Asadha (June-July), 3. Bana Bhoji vesa (on the 10th day of dark fortnight of Bhadraba) - August - September, 4. Kaliyadalana vesa (11th day of dark fortnight), 5. Vamana vesa (on the 12th day of bright fortnight)September, 6. Raja vesa (10th day of bright fortnight of Asvina)-September, 7.
