Adi Puram (July-August)

Puram is the special star for Goddess Sakti. There is a Legendre grading this festival in Hinduism. Goddess Parvati was said to have taken birth on this earth to make this earth flourish and prosper in all aspects. Adipuram, falling on a Friday, is considered to be especially auspicious.[1] This festival is celebrated in all Hindu temples of South India. On this day, special abhisheka is done and offerings are made to Amman in the Adavalleswarar temple on large scale.
