Images of Chakrathalvar

Chaktrathalvar image found in this temple is in a medallion form i.e., circular in execution. He is shown in standing posture, attributed with 18 arms, two of which holds lotus in his hands. His remaining arms hold weapons to reveal the valourous quality of the divinity. He is an attendant deity of Lord Mahavishnu, wears head gear, hara, kankana, keyura, katibandha, and lower garment. As the lower portion of the relief image is found planted such features are not visible. This image also belongs to the Chola period.[1]
