Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple

This temple at Chunampet village was built some 50 years ago by Diwan Bahadur Muthukumaraswamy Mudaliar. It occupies an extent of 38 cents of land. It receives annual income from the wet and dry lands owned by it. It has jewels. and a Garuda vahanam. The Bhattachari conducts four poojas daily and is paid a monthly salary from the income of the temple. His office is not hereditary. Of the several festivals, the main one is Sri Kannan festival.

About 300 people gather. Two trustees are in charge of the Temple.[1]
