Sri Ellaiamman Temple at Thuraiyur village is seven miles form Tozhuppedu. The temple was built 100 years ago on forty cents of land. There ias a gopura of 20 feet high. The Moolavar is made of stone. The hereditary Pandaram performs pooja daily. The temple has 1.80 acres of wet lands from which it gets an annual income. The Brahmothasavam is celebrated annually for ten days and the Goddess is taken out in procession in the temple car. The hereditary trustee is in charge of the temple.[1]
