Sri Kariamanicka Perumal Temple

This temple at Cheyyur was built about 800 years ago and covers an area of 65 cents. There is a small gopura at the entrance. There is also a Swayambu Lingam in this Perumal temple. There are a number of other Gods and Goddesses. The hereditary Bhattachari who has been given service inam lands performs three poojas daily. The temple has jewels but no vahanas. The annual income from lands is spent for the day -to -day expenses. The hereditary trustee and the Executive Officer manage its affairs.
