The village is 16 miles from Madurantakam railway station and can be reached by bus. The temple covers an area of about 8 cents.. The presiding deity, Sri Chennakesava Perumal is in a standing posture. A nonhereditary Bhattachari performs pooja every morning and he is paid a monthly salary both in cash and kind. This is utilized towards the annual repairs and for the conduct of poojas. The main festivals are Krishna Jayanthi in Avani and the third Saturday in Purattasi, when the presiding deity is taken round the streets in a procession. About 100 devotees will be present. The temple affairs are managed by a Board of two trustees.
