Parsvanatha image at Bhandesvara Siva Temple, Shripura

The Bhandesvara temple is located at the village Shripura in between Tarangasagarpur and Sahebnagar. The temple possesses a beautiful seated Parsvanatha image (Pl.LIIIC) inside the sanctum of the temple along with other Saivite and Vaishnavite sculptures.

Parsvanatha:

The image of Parsvanatha (1.22m in height) carved on chlorite is found seated in dhyanamudra over a lotus pedestal below which two spirited lions are noticed at the corner. Two female figures in anjalimudra are also found in the pedestal. His lanchana seven hooded snake canopy is found over his head.
