2.10. Clothing for Śrāddha

Purāṇas inform us about the clothes made as gift on the occasion of Śrāddha. From Vāyupurāṇa[1] we learn that Kośa (Silk), Kārpāsa (Cotton) and Kṣauma (Linen) clothes were usually given as gifts during a Śrāddha.
