1) Seek release from Maya’s snares;
O bird of life, why cry and wail.
You can get wings to fly freely,
When soul abnegates Maya’s shell.
2) With ecstatic joy and love,
Transform life mute with pain,
Into god’s lute, sweet with melody:
Life is too opaque with fantasies ever so vain.
3) Lotus purity of soul, does not grow in mire,
And rose buds wither in snowy shower:
Let us play on our soul’s sweet lyre,
When things go wrong, beyond God’s bower.
4) God’s jewel works as lucent lamp,
When life is dark and morose;
Loss of honeyed joys and fond hopes fading,
Dry up fragrance of carmine of soul’s rose.
5) Shadows of life are ever changing
Like psychic states of man:
God’s light shines immaculate and bright,
Through mazy paths leading to roseate dawn.
6) Union with God is a rare asset,
When the tired soul attains consummation,
Like a bird reaching its blessed nest;
Bond of love, brings salvation.
