MASTER C.V.V.
Prof. Y. K. Brahmanandam
On the banks of river Cauveri there lived a great Yogi and Philosopher called Master C.V.V. He was born in 1868 in Kumbakonam. He was the Chairman of Kumbakonam Municipal Council for some time and led a princely life. He lost his first wife and then married again.
From then onwards his life turned a big corner. He wanted to create a new type of society based upon deathless man and a perfect man who will be free from decay and disease and who will enjoy uninterrupted longivety. This may mean a bit strange at the outset. But Master put forth his new plan of action, admitted more than seven hundred and fifty students who ranged from office clerk to High Court Judge. He conducted a number of congregations for more than ten years from 1910-1922 at Kumbakonam.
Master gave a few prayers and a number of courses to be practiced daily.
He gave SIX contracts.
1.Plenty prana supply
2.Conscious state throughout
3.Body without decay
4.Without figure charge
5.Recalling the dead
6. Aura Protection
Master C.V.V. passed away in 1922 much earlier than his schedule period, because he wanted to continue his work in the planetary cosmos, leaving the work to be continued on this earth.
Sri Veturi Prabhakara Sastri from Tirupati and Sri M.Narasimham Pantulu at Ongole (He was the nephew of Sri T.Prakasam) continued and spread his spiritual mission throughout the state and the same work was given more publicity by E.K. of world teacher's trust in a different way.
Master believed that his concept of new man on new earth would materialise in hundred years, provided his programme was faithfully followed. He gave one simple prayer to his followers to begin with in his own language, unconventional in grammar and usage.
Wish Fit up and working under guidance plan
Master C. V. V. thou the great first cause
Please focus full the healing and mending
forces and process of the next direct line on our system
and Fit us up to become and
manifest, safely the true, the beautiful
the eternal, the immortal, the pure,
merry life forms on earth.
MASTER CVV NAMASKARAMS
Every day at exactly 6.00 in the morning and evening one should do this prayer at least for fifteen minutes. Close your eyes pronounce the above prayer and just observe for fifteen minutes, what is going on in your body. You need not try to control your mind which never obeys you let it wander about just ignore the mind and its movements.
He suggested ten years as probation and after that one feels the impact of this yoga which is called Brikta Rabita Taraka Raja yoga which is otherwise known as Satya Yoga.
One important aspect of this yoga was how master tried and conquered the movements and effects of all the nine planets and their impact on human life. He could influence the behaviour of the planets in the sense that they would help and cooperate with humanity.
Among all the planets, Venus (Sukra) did not like to come under his plan of action for quite some time. But Master ultimately brought him under his control. Venus signifies Mrita Sanjeevini and the aim of this yoga is to acquire and distribute the same to humanity.
While practicing this Yoga, Master C.V.V. attempted to cure the physical and mental ailments of those who approached him and this was known as ‘treatment’. Treatment was a bye product of this Yoga and this attracted a number of people to join and practice this Yoga.
Sankaracharya, Ramana Maharshi and a few others were contemporaries of Master C.V.V. and they were in the know of this new spiritual experiment. But they were very discreet on this subject.
The one great and unique feature of this Yoga is this. The soul takes different births with the present body without experiencing the so-called death.
During that time, Ramana Maharshi told some body, in a different context. “I have taken a new birth. The old horoscope does not apply to me”. Some of our mediums of Satya Yoga had experienced the same but they did not say in so many words.
Presently, some literature is available on this subject and a few journals are being published. There is one important centre at Piduguralla in Guntur District, which is functioning with authority and restraint in spreading this Yoga. Every Year December 31st and May 29th and on August 4th special congregations take place there. Besides, since a few years, lotus gatherings are being held when hundreds of followers gather and conduct prayers, so that this promised new era will be in at an early time.
Master gave all the prayers and courses and day to day instructions in English only, because he knew that only through this medium, his Yoga would eventually reach the whole world. Master E.K. once said that English has acquired the status of conveying metaphysical thinking and acting. Thus English has become the language of Yoga. Long ago Auravindo said even Gods were learning English in the place of Sanskrit.
