Life is a saga of “I”
Carried on through millenia,
Amid countless ups and downs.
“I” has inspired sanguinary wars,
Causing rivers of blood,
Terrestrial globe to flood.
“I” has erected glorious Homes of God;
Has constructed Tajs and Tombs.
To transmit the message perennial
Of the deathless Flame of Love Eternal.
“I” has raised mysterious Pyramids,
To demonstrate the force of ‘Elan Vital’.
“I” has installed Edicts, Inscriptions,
Betokening Man’s ambitions,
To defy and challenge
Devouring Time’s potentials,
“I” has given rise to Empires,
Cutting across bounds of continents.
There has been a clash
Between “Aham” and “kala”;
Though the latter has triumph’d,
Yet the former remains un- subdued.
It is “I”
In the realms of creativity,
That unfurl’d its banners
Over the ages colourful, glorious,
Drive the “I” into wilderness,
The Home of Human Existence
Will become shorn of grandeur, lustreless.
Though charg’d with pounds of Energy Destructive,
The “I” has climb’d brilliant summits constructive.
The “I” is a ‘sine qua non’
For Man’s progress through hazes of Eternity.
