The Fall

Apara

The leaves are falling
I pity them then
They all lived high
In skies green heaven.

They bathed in the toxin
Made by the men
They gave men to breathe in
Fair air often.

They all waved high
Sailing with the sun
They ate from the light
Gave men their bun.

They all guarded high
Battling with the rays
They gave them a shade
Who rejoice thro’days.

They sent all their roots
Into earth and the water
They gave men fruits
And timber that can matter.

They dance last in colours
To spread joy mirth
The swan song singers
The leaves fall to earth.

I sigh for the leaves
Leaving us the leaves
I hail high the leaves
For return of the braves!
