It’s only a vista
Of a wide panorama.
Which doesn’t come to view,
Tho’ in calm moments we see
That this must be true
As true can ever be.
This life is a little sojourn
For the eternal pilgrim-soul;
Eternal wandering thro’ time,
Being its destined goal.
Shouldn’t then with fellow pilgrims
we be kindly good and gay,
So that we may make peaceful
This our temporary stay.
