Yes, Yes!

Prof. Hasit Buch

O, my friend, understanding life and letters well;
You, who, in a moment, can beauty smell,
In form substance and aim!
You wish me to explore and expose more
The mysteries, the dark spots
Of my experiences in life and conjugal love.
You honestly find something missing
In my verses, my hints, my words,
Which may embrace,
You feel,
My experience, my moment whole!

Yes: no flowers all, there were and are some pinching thorns,
The stream had, has, may still have on way
Hindrances, bumps and hungry stones!
Yes, no doubt, yes:
the silvery jingling ray
Had, and has felt stunned, now and then,
In these forests dark;
And been scratched by walls and shores
By nature dull and harsh!
But, O, my friend kind and true,
If I am directed to sing everything I knew,
Not me alone,
My muse too feels:
Away, away slips the essence of experience whole
And the clue real lost in blue!
