LET US CONDEMN..

Translated from Tamil Classics by R. SUNDARESAN

A friend who doesn’t help you in trouble,
food which is not available when you are hungry,
water which is not available when you are thirsty,
the woman who doesn’t know how to behave
when the family is poverty-stricken,
the king who doesn’t control anger,
the disciple who doesn’t heed his teacher’s instructions,
rivers which don’t purify the sinner
are to be condemned.
