Nature or Nurture

Naked are we born in our life,
Put forth for survival great a strife,
Cut down to pieces by Nature's knife,
Tell my friend, is it nature or nurture?

Struggling hard to make life bloom,
Ceased in process by abject gloom,
Though faced with our utmost groom,
It makes our life much more loom.

Passing through some critical stages,
Crossing life in all the ages,
Calls a moment the lives of sages,
Falls at the next and becomes savages.

Sails across the perennial life of ocean,
Feels aright as to our Indian notion,
Fails to adhere rigid cautious action,
Smiles to himself in his natural fashion.

Wallowing with every ephemeral rapture,
Fleeting are they and result in rupture,
Time we forget our traditional culture,
Tell my friend, is it nature or nurture.

Age that entices each to flaunting,
Cage that captures everyone to wanting,
Daunted is he by slogans panting,
Remedy my friend, is prayers chanting.
