Soft and subtle,
Like twilight on the feathery cloud
Resting lightly
On the silver-summit
Of the distant snow-clad hill;
Like moonbeam
Kissing the dancing ripple
On the murmuring mountain-stream;
Like starlight
On the shy forest-flower
Wooed by the gentle breeze;
Like sparkling pearl-dew
Caressing the lotus petal
In the heart of the silent lake;
Like rainbow’s purple hue
Merging into the heaven’s blue,
Imperceptible, lies the soul encircled,
Seeming distinct,
Yet one with the universe around.
