Learned Man

(Translated from the original in Tamil by R. Sundaresan)

eclipses the dimglow
of a thousand little stars,
so too a single learned man

PROWESS

A ship can’t sail on the land
however mighty it be,
a huge chariot can’t tame the waters of the sea
and float in it,
however mighty it be;
however powerful we are
we should know where we should show our prowess.

Translated from the original Tamil by R. SUNDARESAN
