At thy white song-flame I snaIl blaze up!
O Rose, Rose of the deep, awake with the sunrise this day.
My heart swirl up for thy eternity touch,
Oh, fill my bosom with the bright gold of thy fragrance.

His is the crowning now in my life, for him this platter of offerings
Who has tinged thy soul with dreams of him;
He has treasured treasures fathomless, I know–
For him I weave this garland of songs, for the touch of his feet I yearn.

With the magic word I shall break Night’s python bonds,
Tearing the dark I shall flower into Dawn’s serene front,
I shall scatter sun-laughter upon the purest waters–
My soul-lamp shall blaze with thy mounting flame.

The far Heaven-jewel shall be petalled with all my thorns,
Lo! In every throb of my flowering echoes his footstep drawing near.
