A Gujarati 'Bhajan'

Let us, O brother, worship the living man,
let us worship him who speaks;
for he alone can attain the Niranjan.
If God can be seen by worshiping a stone,
why should I not worship the big mountain?
Varieties of sweets didst thou prepare,
and offer at the feet of God;
But they were enjoyed by those,
whose business it is to monopolise them;
and the God had not even its smell!
While carving the image of God out of stone,
they stain it with their legs;
Were the God real, would He not punish the image-maker first?
