Sáradásundari. A commentary on the Amarakosha. By Mathures'a
Vidyálankára, son of Sivaráma Chakravartí. Wilson describes the
work as a "useful one," and, adverting to the author's Sabdaratnávalí,
adds, "it is chiefly useful for its introduction of various readings
amongst the synonyms; but he has made very little addition of any other
kind. This work was composed, according to the date, in S'aka 1588,
or A. D. 1666, and under the patronage of a Musalman chief whose
name, as written in the manuscript, appears to be Murchán Khán. It
should be more probably Músá Khán, a name common amongst the
Musalman chiefs of the seventeenth century." Essays, III, 233.
