No. ( 7 ) Harililaviveka by Hemadri - D. No. 17604.Hari-lila is a brief indication of the contents of Bhagavata, while the Harililaviveka is a commentary on the same. The author of the text is Boppadeva. He is the son of Bhisak Kesava, grandson of Mahadeva and a disciple of Dhanesa. Kesava or Bhisakkesava was a doctor and has written several books on medicine, on one of which, viz., Siddhamantra, Vopadeva has commented. Vopadeva has composed ten books in Sanskrit grammar, nine books in medicine, one book in Dharma sastra, three books in Sanskrit literature and three books regarding the contents of Bhagavata. vasya vyakarane varenyaghatanasphitah prabandha dasa prakhyata nava vaidyake'tha tithinirdhararthameko'dbhutah sahitye traya eva bhagavatatatvoktau trayastasya bhu . vyantarvanisiromaneriha guna ke ke na lokottarah || Vide Harililaviveka. D. No. 17604 (pp. 11165). It appears that Hemadri was his patron and commentator. Vopadeva has composed some works under the orders of Hemadri, the author of Caturvargacintamani and the minister of King Mahadeva. vidvaddhanesasirena bhisakkesavasununa | hemadrivopadevena mukta | phalama cikarat || Vide R. No. 3079. It is interesting to note that Hemadri, the Minister of king Mahadeva, had some association with one Ramaraja. harililaviveko'yam ramarajasya vesmani | Ibid. nikate racayamcake tustayai hemadrina satam || It is not known whether Hemadri was a minister both to Mahadeva and Rama in different times, or whether Mahadeva was also known as Rama.
