She is said to have accomplished her object by propitiating God Ratnesvara worshipped at Benares. The drama was intended to be enacted on the occasion of the festival of God Svayambhunatha worshipped at Mulandanagara (Muilandrum) in the North Arcot district. The author was Gururama, son of Svayambhunatha and grandson of Tyagaraja of Kasyapagotra and the daughter's son of Rajanatha. The author mentions certain distinguished predecessors of his family, such as Aghorasivadesika, Prasadavallabha, Dhakkasabhapati and Bhaskaracarya. They are also mentioned in the work Vibhagaratnamalika described under R. No. 1739 of the Triennial Catalogue, Vol. II, Part I-C. Gururama is the author also of Madanagopalavilasa (vide No. 12576 ante).
