THE SANSKRIT MANUSCRIPTS. 6201 This Vrata consists in the worship of a golden image of Gopala made of one pala of gold and in making a present of it to a suitable Brahmana. The Vrata is to be observed within sixteen days after a woma has her monthly course, and it is considered to have the power of removing barrenness.
