Summary: This series—Inscriptions of Orissa—is a multi-volume effort, initiated in 1950 by the Research Section of the Odisha State Museum, to compile and publish the vast number of historical inscriptions discovered in Orissa (Odisha) and surrounding areas, which contain valuable materials for the region's history. The goal was to publish available inscriptions in four volumes across ten parts, organizing them geographically (South, West, North, and Central Odisha) and chronologically, covering a period from approximately 200 to 700 A.D.
