10. Time of Wearing Rudrākṣa
[...] Rudrākṣajābāla Upaniṣad verse 44, 45.
If Rudrākṣa beads are worn during the following auspicious times, then a person can soon get liberation from sins and their horrific effects-a dark moon night, a full moon night, when the sun changes its course or path from the summer solstice (December 22–June 21) when the sun is to the north of the equator) to the winter solstice (June 21–December 22 when the sun is to the south of the equator) and vice versa, on a Saṃkrāṇṭi day (the Planet’s passage from one sign of the zodiac to another), the dates when the day and night are of equal lengths (June 21 and December 22), when the day is over (sunset, twilight) and during the two eclipses (solar and lunar). Brahmā, the creator, is said to dwell in Rudrākṣa bead’s root, Viṣṇu, the sustainer, in its hole(bore) and Śiva, the destroyer in its tacks, while all the other Gods are present in its small spicules.
