Part 2.2f - The Kanva or Kanvāyana Dynasty
The Kanva or Kanvāyana dynasty reigned for almost forty five years.[1] The four kings of this dynasty were Vasudeva (reigned for nine years), Bhūmitra (fourteen years), Nārāyaṇa, (twelve years) Suśarman (ten years). Scholar like H. C. Raychaudhuri opines that Kanvas ruled in between 75 B.C. to 30 B.C.[2] The powerful Andhras uprooted the Kanvāyanas and destroyed the power of the Śuṅgas.[3]
