striyaḥ svārthaparāḥ prāyaḥ paraduḥkhaṃ na jānate |
āpṛṣṭavyaṃ yadaprākṣīt gṛhiṇī kekayādhipam ||

(ii) The commanders of Rājayakṣmā declare that when such great soldiers like themselves are at the warfront, their king need not think about losing the war; the lotus does not worry about being hit by frost when the spring season has set in (II.12):

āsmādṛśeṣu balaśāliṣu sainikeṣu rājannalaṃ prabhuparābhavacintayā te |
syāt kiṃ vasantadivaseṣu visṛtvareṣu padmākarasya tuhinābhibhavaprasakti ||

(iii) Jīva feels that Śivabhakti who gives immense pleasure to his heart is his one and only comfort; for the trees scorched by the excess heat of the sun, the heavy showers of the fresh clouds alone are the remedy (IV.16):

hṛdayānandavidhātrīṃ bhaktiṃ tāmantarā na me saukhyam |
āsāreṇa vinā kiṃ gharmamlānasya śākhinastṛptiḥ ||
