42. Description of Sudarsana (rites and rituals)

Puja is mandated to be performed with Mukhyopacaras as prescribed in the text. Next, the strong potent and effective Sudarsanayantravidhi is set forth. 317 Sudarshana-yantra is most effectively employed for Ksudra- abhicaranivarana. A special Malamantra and its Candas and Sadanganyasa are also associated with Sudarshana-vidhis. 318 It is specified that this ought to be learnt directly from a Guru. Sudarsanamurti is presented in this Malamantra as 'Madya-mamsarudhirabhojanapriya'. Japa of the Mantra at midnight is said to bring Sarvabhistaphala. Several other Viniyogas are also provided all of which are reflective of the immense power of Sudarsanamurti.
