Bhagavatpādābhyudaya a Mahākāvya with the theme of Śaṅkara’s Biography

The most important work of Lakṣmaṇa Sūrin is Bhagavatpādābhyudaya. That gives a beautiful account of the life of great Ācārya Śaṅkara. The hero of the poem is the master mind of the world of men, and the author of the poem is a master poet in Sanskrit. The verses of the kāvya are composed in simple Sanskrit language and have a clear smooth and beautiful flow. This text is divided in to nine chapters (cantos).

  3. Depicting of Paramahaṃsa
  4. Depicting of Commentary
  5. The blessings of Vyāsa
  6. Meeting with Sureśvara
  7. Depicting of Ascending the throne of Omniscience
  8. Depicting of Digvijaya and
  9. Depicting of travel to Kailāsa.

This work is written on the model of the Śaṅkaravijaya texts written by the former poets.
