Annadatricarita performed on the stage in the birthday celebration of Chittirathirunal Balarama Varma. The drama won the first place on that occasion. The students of H.H Sanskrit College, Thiruvananthapuram were the performers. Prof. R. Vasudevan Potti, a renowned contemporary Sanskrit scholar was also a part of this performance.He played the role of Duryodhana in the drama. The venue of the performance was Victoria Jubilee Town (VJT)[1] hall in Thiruvananthapuram.

The next chapter ‘The dramatical appraisal of Annadatricarita’ deals with the analysis of the text on the basis of Sanskrit dramaturgy.

VJT hall is a town hall in Thiruvananthapuram. It had built on the golden jubilee year of the coronation of Queen Victoria in the year 1896. Even today its colonial structure is sustained it is still one of the famous centre for exhibitions and cultural programmes. In 28th August 2019 it is renamed as Mahatma Ayyankali Hall by Pinarayi Vijayan, the Chief Minister of Kerala.
